Creativity of a kid.

Sometime is fun seeing Kate comes up with some great ideas. She was trying to use her crayon to put her name together. I don't know, to me it's a very good imagination and very creative way in doing this.

Silly me!!!

I went to few McDonalds to get those watches for my lovely girl, very silly me. I loved Hello Kitty when i was young and did not have the chance to have them because Hello Kitty's stuff was something luxury during my age. After being a mom, I've been trying all my best to get anything for my girl. I don't spoil her for sure.

Lake Tahoe

Our Lake Tahoe snow trip was great. We'r glad that we make it. We had few "kiasi" friends called off the trip coz of the storm on that weekend. Actually it was kinda dangerous to drive in the snow, not easy to control the steeling. The traffic was better than we're expected. The hotel we stayed was beautiful. The first time I saw some " Kwai Low" were swimming in the snow, I was like "WTH!!!!". As soon as I found out that the water is heated and actually it was nice to swim in the snow. We had a great fine buffett at Hyatt hotel.

Old fashioned butter cake

Most of the Malaysian family like to bake this kinda butter cake during CNY. My mom bakes this yummy new year tradition cake too. My version is slightly different with a zebra effect ( I use cocoa powder to swirl the cake).We're going to Lake Tahoe tomorrow and the weather forecast is going to be raining and snowing. We knew it would be a very slow traffic, so I bake this cake for our road trip just in case we get stuck in a car.

Cable Car

Cable car is one of the popular attractions in San Francisco. It has more than 100 years history. Kate always wanted to go for a cable car ride. Too bad we did not get to ride to the last station because it's got stuck in China Town. We had to get off and wait for another cable car. We'r not surprise that because it happens very often. Anyway, Kate had what she wanted, that the most important thing.

I've been using this VitaZing for 2 weeks. I love it. I feel radiant and fresh on my face. I like the scent of mangosteen too. James started to put some too after seeing the result of my face :) I remember brother J told me before, my mom used to smash the mangosteen for him to eat. My mom's super smart to use the mangosteen (antioxidant) to keep our face beautiful and radiant way back years ago. Sometime old-fashioned way of taking care of skin works better than the new way.

UGG

I am debating which one to get. Bailey Button or Classic Boot from UGG??? I read the reviews, seems like everyone loves the UGG boots so much, very comfortable and cozzy! I want a chocolate or maybe grey color but I can't decide the design.

The Beatles!!!

I don't know why I love " The Beatles" so much!!! Maybe they're the first English group I listened when I was young. The best band in the history of music and no one would ever take their place. X'mas Tree!!!

We bought the tree last Sunday and got all the ornaments hang on. Kate was very fascinating about that. I took a picture with the tree and her new hair style.

Kate's 2nd teeth cleaning!

I can't stop saying how great she was at her teeth cleaning last Saturday. I am so proud of her as usual. According to the Doctor, most of the kids like her age would terrify or nervous when they do the teeth cleaning. Kate was behave well when she was there. I don't have beautiful and healthy teeth since I was young, so I make any effort to make Kate has beautiful and healthy teeth as possible as I can.

Sonoma Train Town

We took Kate to this place after I found out from a friend. What a great place for my girl. She loves trains and really loved this place. We take a ride on a miniature train for about 10 mins and it makes a stop at a petting zoo area.

My XXth B-day!

Yesterday was my b-day! I went to downtown with Kate for lunch and did some shopping. I got myself a bag. We did not go out for dinner because James wanted to watch Giants game which was fine with me. We had rack of lamb and tomatoes soup for dinner. It was simple and nice celebration :) A picture is worth a thousand words.

1st trick or treating of the year!

Kate has been talking about halloween since September. Today is the school organized trick or treating. Kate was so looking forward and excited about today. The forecast says it would be a raining day, but thank god it was dry when we were there. This year Kate is " Tinker Bell". I am a " witch " hahaha. Hopefully the weather will be good on Sunday, otherwise we will do trick or treating in a mall.

6th Wedding Anniversarry!

Today is our 6th Wedding Anniversary! Gosh, can't believe I have married with this guys for 6 years. For the past 6 years we had gone through so much together, happiness, sadness, excitement, arguments etc etc etc..... We started our family from nothing to something all by 2 of us. We bought our first landed property, we gave birth our bundle of joy.... those are 2 things I need to highlight here. I am very proud of us sometime :) We are so blessed for having Kate as our daugther, she is our little angle. Being a wife/mother is not a easy role, I am learning and doing my best every day. James got me an I-Phone as a gift. Cheers*!

Jack-O-Lantern!!!!

Brother J

Brother J has gone back to BJ this morning. He had been here for 2 weeks. We had so much fun for the past 2 weeks. We cooked a lot of delicous food such as Nasi Lemak, Loh Bak, Dessert, Tau Yew Bak etc... mostly are M'sian food :) I did bake some cakes too. It's great that having someone you loved pay you a visit. It's a unforgettable and sweet memory for Kate and myself. Hope he will visit us soon. One thing I want to mention is when we were on the train ride back to pick up my car, "Kau Fu" was stucked in the train, only Kate and me get off from the train. Kate was upset and nervous. That's was the sweetest part. It shows that how much she cares about her " Kau Fu"

Friend Visits

The feeling is great when someone you know for long time and from the same home country visit you. Jonas Loh - a long-time frined originally from Penang and settled down in Florida with his wife now! We have known each other since we were in International College. After that, I went to London and he went to Rhode Island. We meet up for lunch yesterday when he was on his way to his winery classes in Napa. Reunion after 9 years. We were very closed friend back then. What a co-incident, we wore the same color of tops :) I din relaize till he mentioned. Cheers for 10+ years friendship!

5 colors

USDA recommends at least 5 Fruit and Vegetable servings daily. I cooked this Red and White Beans, Bailey, Taro, Purple, Orange and Yellow Sweet Potatoes today. It was so so yummy! I should have put some green beans but I forgot to do so, otherwise it would be perfect. I remember that is a comedian said this before " if you too busy to eat 5 colors daily, you can have M&M chocolates" :)

Mini Pizza Day!

Kate was making some mini pizza. We used mini bagel as Pizza dough. It turned out great! I like to watch " food network" , and maybe because of that Kate always requested we let her watch food channel over some cartoon networks. It's interesting that a 3-year-old girl likes cooking :)

Celine Bag

There's always a favourite or must have bag on my list. It has been awhile did not have any I like until this Celine bag. It comes with a couple of colors, very hard to make decision which one to get. Very contemporary looked.

Stow Lake

We just finished our long labor day weekend. We did not out of town, what have we done for 3 days holiday? We did a lot of cleaning, we get rided of a lot of stuff that we don't use anymore. Brought Kate to a Art and Wine festival. They had some nice art works there. We also went to Stow Lake. We wanted to have a paddle boat, too bad the line was long so we decided we would do that next time.
